Childhood Questions

31. I was 6 when I learned how to ride a bike. My dad taught me, I had a little pink Barbie bike with streamers hanging off of the handles. To learn how to ride my dad would first teach me to balance on the bike. were would sit in the grass and he would hold me on the bike. Then I would ride through the grass then, we would go to the tennis courts and I would ride around there. Once I was able I go on Saturday bike rides with my dad and my older sister. The first time I ever went biking with them I went to fast down a hill, lost control of the bike and was flung off into the pavement. I scraped myself up pretty badly and my dad had to carry me home on his shoulders. I was balling with bloody keens and and bruised elbows. I have scars on my keens from where i was hit.

35. A dream I remember I had as a kids was when I was 5. I was on a water ride with all of my kindergarten classmates and one of the girls I had in my class, I can't remember her name, pushed me off the ride and I fell into a ocean. Once I was in the ocean a shark came up and bit the tip of my finger and i woke up crying.

36. Something I don't like about my childhood is how shy I was. I was so shy I would never ask for help and as a result of that I did not do very well in elementary school. I wish that I was able to make more friends and wasn't so scared of people.

34. The people who taught me to believe in myself were my mom and dad. Like I said I was not very good at school so I had lots of tutors. I would always get frustrated and give up and the tutors never really helped me. When I started to get frustrated I would start to hit myself and call myself  dumb while crying into my math book. After this would happen my mom and dad would sit me down and tell me that I was a smart girl and that I could do anything I put my mind too.

Window Poem

Looking out my window I see a bus stop.
To the left, there is a man, old with dark circles around his eyes and a smile looking down at a picture in his old frail hands.
Today there is something different, there is no woman standing next to him.
The woman was alway standing next to him, until today.
In the distance, the bus is coming.
The old man boards the bus alone.

Campbell Tomato Soup

It was a snowy Wednesday and Timmy was on his way home from school.
he was riding his bike which he always took to school.
It was black and blue and had brakes in the front and even a bell.
His dad had given it to him for his 8th birthday and it had been his prized possession ever since.
Before he left for school that morning the sidewalks were clear and there was not a cloud in the sky.
As he was leaving for school his mother told him not to take his bike because it was going to snow that day.
Timmy didn't listen and took it anyways and when school got out early because of the snow Timmy didn't think it would be a problem getting home.
Timmy was struggling to pedal through the snow and could barely see where he was going.
He caught speed as he went flying down a hill and crashed breaking his new bike and hurting himself.
Timmy cried all the way home pulling his broken bike behind him.
When he got home and saw his mom he broke out in tears.
"It's going to be ok we will get you a new bike. Come I've made soup for you." his mother said to him.
They patched up his wounds and settled down by the fire with a bowl of his favorite Campbell's Tomato Soup.
Timmy soon forgot all about his broken bike and decided to go out and enjoy the snow.

Three Lost Hikers Lucky to be Found

"Can you please hurry." Abby said shivering looking around frantically.
"Maybe if you actually helped it would be faster." Tom said to Abby harshly.
"No,no,no I am not touching thing." she said with disgust.
" I knew you would end up doing thing, you always do." Tom said to himself quietly.
"I do not! I handle the driving and I will help you after you finish with-with that." she flicked her hands at the dark mishap-in object Tom was handling. "Plus I am usually gone for this but you made me come with you."
"I made you come with me because John could not-be here." Tom said with a little bit of question of where John might have been.
"How long does this usually take?" she asked moving on to the next topic, not wanting to focus on what they were doing.
"Not long I have been doing this a while." he said with a smirk of accomplishment.

They went about the deed they were doing and were able to finish in about an hour.
"Where are we?" Abby asked sounding not at all concerned on where they actually were.
" Deep into the woods now its okay.  I've been down here multiple time." Tom smiled at Abby they walked in silence until they heard yelling from the other parts of the wood.

"Lizzy! Lizzy! Are you here Lizzy?"

"What is that!" Abby whispered harshly to Tom
"I don't know? I have never seen anyone over here." He said with a nervous tone

"Lizzy?, Lizzy are you hear?" The voice calling out getting closer and closer.

"What do we do?" Abby said frantically and fast looking back and forth from where the voice was.
" All right we will just say we were lost and we were hiking for the day." Tom told her calmly but with slight an edge to him voice.
"Who's there, Lizzy is that you?" said the voice now closes enough they could see it was an old man coming their way.

"Help! over here! Oh thank god. Were over here." Tom said changing his mood from calm to scared.
"Who are you? Do you know where Lizzy is?" the old man said looking between Tom and Abby.
"We were hiking but we got lost. Thank god you found us, we thought we were never going to be found." Abby said acting like she was really lost.
"Oh well I'm glad I found you, somebody named Lizzy has gone missing and I was a part of a search party."
"I don't know anything about that." Abby said a little to fast. Tom gave her a look that said "shut up."

"Well the search party is near by I can take you there then we can help you find your way home." The old man said a little skeptical.
"Thank you so much." Tom said.

They found the search party and Tom and Abby were able to find their way home.
"Thank you for all your help." Abby said right before her and Tom were about to leave."
"Glad we could help." the old man said.

All of a sudden a man came running out of the woods.
"There was a body there- I saw one."
"Where"
"By the lake."

Tom and Abby looked at each other. Tom gave her the look and they started moving towards their car.
"Wait." the old man said to the Tom and Abby. They stopped to their tracks. "Weren't you two just by the lake?"

Six Memoirs

Constantly wanting more in my life.

Tired mornings, Sleepless nights, Mind Running.

We're all alone in the end.

Memorable Passage

“Tell me one last thing,” said Harry. “Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?”
“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
This is one of my all time favorite quotes ever. It really speaks to me because I love to make up things in my head and I love reading and imagining stories in my head. It is a way to escape into another world and I love that.  Dumbledore's words are very comforting to Harry and in a sense he is talking directly to the reader.  He reassures  that while it maybe all be a story it is still very real to the reader.

Writers as Readers

1. I can read almost anywhere. I always have to be listening to music when I read though. I make playlist that go along with the books I'm reading. When I do read I like to read in my bed where I can lay down.  It is sometimes hard to read like that because the book can sometimes fall out of my hand and fall on my face, which hurts a lot.  I like reading on my phone in total darkness.

4. one of my favorite memories associated with reading is when I was rereading Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, the first book in the very long series. My family went to Colorado for Christmas my freshman year and we had to take a small van down from the mountain. There was a really big snow storm so it took about 3 hours longer than expected to get down the mountain. We missed our plan home and at 2 in the morning we were checked into a hotel near by the airport. We did not have a car and we needed to eat so we ran to a Ruby Tuesday's right by the Hotel and ate there really early in the morning. I read the book the whole way down the mountain and I was just at the part in the book were the characters eat at a restaurant quite like Ruby Tuesday's late at night after traveling a long time. I felt like I was almost in the book.

7. The first book I remember being able to read on my own was Harry the Dirty Dog.  The book was about a dog that gets so dirty his family can't recognize him.  My dad would read me that book before bed every might until I was able to read on my own. I still love that book to this day.

8. Overall I have two favorite book series Harry Potter an Percy Jackson. I think I love these books because they are amazing and I associate  them with my family.  My dad would read me and my sisters Harry Potter every night and it is a very family thing. Percy Jackson I relate to my sisters. My sisters would and can still go on for hours about those books.

10. Growing up Harry Potter was a very big part of my life but I know kids that were not allowed to read or watch Harry Potter. I always think that was dumb and I feel bad for them because they really missed out. I do think that books give power. Books provide a lot of knowledge and knowledge is power. I do not think that by reading Harry Potter you are participating in a cult.

Keeping it real (like Dan)

21. Dan has very large family gatherings and that is something I related to most in the movie. My mom has three other siblings, two brothers and a sister. She is the youngest and her family lives in Texas. We all get together for Christmas and our gatherings look a lot like Dan's. We play games and get really involved into each others personal lives.

13. Marie is very well traveled and I do think people who are more well traveled are more interesting. They have so many stories to tell and seem to be more open to change. Also like Marie people who are well traveled seem to be more of a free spirit and really one with themselves.

14. Dan is widowed and then falls for Marie and the question is if people can have more than one soul mate and I really don't believe in soulmates. The concept is cute but only having one soulmate does not make any sense. You can have a soulmate not just in romantic love but in friendship or a pet. I don't believe people only get one soulmate so yes I do think you can have more than one "soulmate".

5. I do not like putting age on things. I don't think you are ever to young or old to feel love. I do think Dan's daughter is a dramatic and passionate person when it come to love. I do not think she is really in love Marty but I do think that her feelings towards him are valid and Dan should not have told her that her feeling for Marty were not true.

6.One of my favorite lines from Dan in Real Life was "life is full of disappointment". I do think that line is true life can be disappointing sometimes. We have really big dreams and sometimes those do not follow through. It is how you deal with disappointment that really makes your life disappointing or not. You have to move past the negative things and look to the positive future.

11. When I was little me and my sisters would go over to my grandmas house every Sunday afternoon. We would usually watch some Barbie movie with popcorn then after the movie was over we would would play a game of hide in seek. There was this small cabinet in her house that was a really good hiding place. Me and my older sister would fight over who got to hid in there. It could only fit one of us but sometimes we would both squeeze inside the small cabinet. My grandma died in 2011 and now that small cabinet is in my mothers office at home. Sometimes still think I could fit inside.

30. No I am so bad at bowling. I hate going and always loose when I go. I am great at bowling on the Wii though, I am a pro bowler on the Wii.
