Writing About A Boy

I did get into my dream school but it happens, I wish it didn't, but that's life, isn't it?
I poured mt heart and soul into one thing and it did not work out. I try not to think about too much but the day I found out I didn't get in was honestly one of worst days I had in a long time. I was so public about wanting to go to USC and so many people were rooting for me. So many people helped me and me really just felt like I let them down.

I knew going into the application process that it was going to be hard. USC has an average acceptance rate of 16%  so the odds were stacked against me. But I was hopeful and so many people told me I was going to get in, including my sister who goes to USC. I really wanted it I wanted to be in LA so bad but I guess it was not meant to be.

The night before I could not fall asleep and would keep having dreams of getting and not getting in. It was at 9 am when my mom told me I did not get in. I decided I was not going to dwell and try to move on but it kept nagging at me because I would see friends I had made for a summer before getting in. I felt dumb, I felt silly for even think I could get in. The hardest part of the whole thing was telling people I did not get in. They would give me a sad look and tell me it was just not in Gods plan. Hearing people say that made me mad because I am in charge of my own future I get to pick what happens in my life.

I am going to Mizzou now and at first, I did even really want to go to college anymore but I am excited I went up there this weekend and really liked it. I still really want to go to USC and I am trying to transfer after my freshman year but who know what will happen.

Music and Writing

1. I have certain playlist for certain times in my life like summer of last year or maybe a movies playlist for when I am working on something. I also have playlist for books they act as background music. When I listen to playlist that are from certain times I remember those times and how I felt. Like some playlist bring up sad memories and I always feel nostalgic when I listen to old music.

2. My favorite song of all time is Riptide by Vance Joy. This has been my favorite song since freshman year. I reminds me of high school and I connect the song with happy memories. That song never fails to make me feel better.

3. My music taste has definitely changed over time. I used to be really one sided and only liked one type music but I really opened it up my music taste my freshman year. I really like any type of music and I don't know where I would be with out it.

12. I love music in movies. I will probably love the movie if i enjoy the music. Music is able show so much emotion and they really add to the movie.

5. I don't really share my music with anyone but my sisters. I am very private about music. I feel like music is able to say a lot about a person and show you someones true feelings. I will only share my music with someone I truly trust. I also feel like people judge people on the music taste a lot so I am always worried when i show someone a song they won't like it.

7. Without music I really think my life would be nothing. I listen to music everyday, I associate so many positive and negative memories with music that my music is almost like a diary, a diary not of words but sounds that remind me old and new memories. I will forever be grateful
for music.

Food For Thought

When I think of Saturdays I think of food. Every Saturday I start off the day by waking up around ten am and will sit in my parent's bed with them and we will watch a movie. At around 11 my mom and I will go to the kitchen and she will make bacon and I will start on the pancakes. The house fills with the aroma of pancakes and Bacon. I feel happy as my family and I  eat around the table and watch cartoons. After we eat me or my sister will call my grandpa and ask him if he wants to meet us for lunch at 1. Every Saturday my family eats the same place at the same time. It is a small deli and pasta place near the mall and it is one of my favorite places to eat . After we all eat together we will all go home and take a nap. at around 5 my parents will go out and see a movie and me and my little sister will go get food at Panera or Steak n Shake. When I always think of Saturday I always think of the food I eat Saturday.

Page 1: Molly the Mallard lived by the water with her loving mother and father.

Page 2: would splash splash slash the day away in the lake with her fish friends that always liked to play.

Page 3: She would fly high in the forest trees always saying hi to the bees.

Page 4: And when the sun went down at the end of the day, after a long day of play.
Molly would curl up in the nest and listen to the owls who's that put her to rest.

Page 5: Molly loved the lake where she lived but one day the air began to chill and the lake went still.

Page 6:Molly was sad the lake froze over but her mother and father were happy it was much colder.
"Don't frown Molly, Don't let the cold weather get you down." Her mother told her.

Page 7: "It's time for a migration vacation. Hurry let's pack our bags its time to go!" her father yelled.  "Whoopee off to Hawaii we go!"

Page 8: They flew far and wide, until they came across 8 island with a very high tide. Hawaii had bright blue water and weather that was a lot hotter.

Page 9: Molly's first day in Hawaii she spent on land playing with her new crap friends in the sand.

Page 10: The next day Molly decided to test the water. She made friends with a very friendly otter.

Page 11: The next day she while she was slashing in the sea she met a dolphin who asked her if she was brave and wanted to ride the wave?

Page 12: And after every long day of fun and play Molly would snuggle up by the sand and watch the sunset with a coconut in hand.

Page 13: After a while of water, sand and fun there time in Hawaii was done. And with a big ole sigh and a tear in her eye Molly had to say goodbye.

Page 14: "Don't worry little one we will be back next year for lots more fun and sun." her mother said.

Page 15: They flew back quick and fast back to the lake that was unfroze at last!

Page 16: Molly was so happy to see the bees in the trees. She was happy to splash in the lake all day with her fish friends that liked to play.

Children's Story Feedback for Friends

Chad Myers

Wally Goes to Hawaii
Page 1
There once was a town called FrostBerg, located on an iceberg somewhere between the North and South Pole. It is a beautiful Winter day there.
Page 2
The penguins are outside skating. Polar bears are enjoying their ICEEs and narwhales are skiing down the various slopes.
Page 3
There is only one animal not joining in on their Winter fun: Wally the Walrus.
Page 4
Wally has never liked the cold. He prefers to go home to his igloo and relax in his bundle of blankets reading a good book.
Part 5
He enjoyed being able to water plants in his green house. The ice and snow just wasn't the life for him, trust me, he tried.
Page 6
Sledding was never really his thing.
Page 7
Peppermint mochas just burned his tongue.
Page 8
Snow kept getting caught in his mustache, and his lips got cold.
Page 9
Eventually, the animals of Frostberg stopped inviting him to play. He just couldn't be part of their Winter fun.
Page 10
One day, he meet with Morris the Moose, Frostberg's local travel agent. Wally meet with him to discuss where he would like to go this year.
Page 11
"Where would you like to travel?" Morris the Moose asked.
"Where can I go?"
"Anywhere, from the highest peaks to the lowest of trenches. Anything particular in mind?"
"Just someplace warm." Wally replied. He hates the Winter weather of his hometown.
Page 12
"I think I have just the place in mind." the agent replied with a smile.
Page 13
When Wally stepped off the plane, it was like an whole new world was opened up to him. There were palm trees and beaches everywhere.
Page 14
He went to his new hut on the beach, and laid in his hammock sunbathing. He pulled out his map, and decided to explore the island.
Page 16
He took a walk on one of the trials, and found that Hawaii had plants he had never gotten to see in the Artic! The entire island was covered in the brightly colored tropical fruits.
Page 17
At the end of the trial were several shops that scattered the beach. One vendor offered him a mango-pineapple smoothie. He didn't really know what either of those things were, but he was open to trying anything (but peppermint mochas, those are gross).
Page 18
He was surprised to find that he liked it! It was very sweet, and was different from anything that he had tried at home.
Page 19
He went up to the local surf shop, and bought a surfboard. He ended up getting to try some free surfinglessons. At first, he stumbled, but he quickly improved.
Page 20
Eventually, he was surfing like one of the pros. He shredded some sick waves until the sun went down.
Page 21
There was a luau on the beach that night. The place was lit up with hundreds of lights, and he could hear music all the way from the ocean. (say what kind of music).
Page 22
He decided to join them. Apparently, Wally is quiet the life of the party, and he is crazy good at ( put the instead of at) limbo.
Page 23
Once the night was done, Wally came back to his hut and got some much needed rest. (capitalize he) He had such a busy day, and he was looking forward to the rest of his trip.
Page 24
Before Wally knew it, his stay in Hawaii was over. He had to say goodbye to his newfound friends, but it was time for him to go home.
Page 25
Wally realized where his(Add a space)home was, and realized he'd be back sooner than he thought.
