If I were in charge of the world
I'd cancel Monday mornings, deadlines,
cold weather, and  data limits.

If I were in charge of the world
there'd be longer nights, dogs for everyone,
and endless summers.

If I were in charge of the world
you wouldn't have sadness.
You wouldn't have emptiness.
You wouldn't have failure.
Or "Its not you its me."
You wouldn't even have broken hearts.

If I were in charge of the world
a pack of Hawaiian rolls would be a vegetable.
All mozzarella sticks from Sonic would be 99 cents.
And a person who sometimes forgot to feed the cats
and sometimes forgot to to do the laundry,
would still be allowed to be
in charge of the world.
