Paint Chip Poems

Haiku

Haven

The calming colors
Image result for nippon paint colour creationsThe water rushing behind them
They were safe at last

Twinkly Green

The stars shin brightly
The Fireflies dance around
The meadow shimmers

Restful

She opened her eyes
Wanting to fall back asleep
 Sleep claiming her again

Acrostic

Sky lit by the fading sun
Purple hugs the sky goodbye
Red slowing letting go
Already surrendering to the black night
Yearning to be blue again

Free Verse

The lipstick she wore radiated pink
The flowers were sitting on the counter next to her as she applied her makeup
Chocolates open half eaten on the other side of her
The front door opens
She rushed out of the bathroom
"My Valentine!" she yelled as she leaped in his arms
He kissed her very kissable lips
"I love you" he tells her

Narrative

They walked through the market
She wasn't look for anything specific
There were old lamps, dirty cards, nick knacks, everything
She spotted a small jewelry box
"What is this?" she ask her mother
"A old jewelry box, it's an antique."
"An antique?"
"Yes it means its very old."
She smiled and took the old box off the shelf claiming it as hers

  1. I especially like your narrative about the jewelry box and the line in your acrostic "Purple hugs the sky goodbye." Thanks for sharing these!
